I can’t say enough about Graham and Fresco Refrigeration - here is our story: We have always been fans of heat pumps, yet we were puzzled why ours didn’t seem to be as effective as we had previously experienced. We chalked it up to our 50-year-old house and her age-related gaps and leaks and so did the company who did the previous installation. A couple of years later, in the aftermath of a snowstorm, it stopped working and we called Graham to see if he could fix the problem. He did. And after hearing of our disappointment with the heat pump’s performance, he went into detective mode. The mystery was soon solved. $17 dollars later, a custom- made piece of sheet metal was installed in a gap in our ducting. We have been toasty warm in the winter and happy customers ever since! Graham has since installed & maintained heat pumps in our daughter’s house and my 90- year-old Mom’s home. The workmanship, communication with the company and courtesy of their installers has been excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If we are using the 5-star review process Graham & Fresco Refrigeration would get a 6.

Last year, with the approval and support of the BOD for the largest non government senior housing society on Salt Spring Island, I opened a dialogue with BC hydro exploring grant programs for upgrades to our 22 unit senior housing project. Having heard from several tenants that the cost of heating was taking a growing portion of their limited income and seeing some of the solutions that were being employed, conversion to "mini-split" heat pumps looked like the logical solution. One of our core objectives was to utilize local business whenever possible, so having utilized Fresco Refrigeration in the past for maintenance on my home heating system and being extremely impressed with Graham’s knowledge and dedication to service, they were my first contact. Online research on availability and cost comparison for product and price confirmed that we would be well served by shopping locally. Once I had the grant approval from BC Hydro, and BOD approval and the contract signed, the service we experienced from Graham and the team at Fresco was all that could be asked for. The materials were ordered at a collective price, support trades were sourced and scheduled and the work was executed flawlessly. I was particularly impressed with the efficiency, professionalism and consideration of Fresco’s installation team in dealing with the needs and concerns of our senior residents at a time of heightened fear and uncertainty at the onset of the pandemic. Although there was some concern from tenants initially, the installation was completed on time, on budget and without a single complaint on completion and there has been nothing but good reviews on the service, the technology and the product.
